Joining the AGG
The CPH AGG welcomes applications from UCSF and UC Berkeley faculty who are interested in joining the AGG.
Interested faculty should be conducting research or real-world implementation at the intersection of the computational and health sciences, including but not restricted to big data analytics, algorithms, machine learning, clinical decision support, electronic health records, health informatics, clinical research informatics, interoperability, digital health, networking, wearable devices, privacy, and related areas. CPH Core and Affiliate faculty are expected to contribute commensurate levels of service, teaching, and mentoring to the graduate training program. Details can be found in the Bylaws of the AGG.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Computational Precision Health, UC Berkeley, UCSF
UCSF and UC Berkeley are seeking a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as the inaugural Executive Director of the UCSF UC Berkeley Joint Program in Computational Precision Health (CPH). For this new and growing program, the Executive Director will develop and implement CPH’s long-term strategic vision and research impact areas under the direction of the Faculty Directors and will design, ensure funding, and oversee the implementation of research and strategic programs.
Position Overview
The Executive Director will provide innovative leadership to help CPH realize its vast potential and meet its mission. The incumbent will lead strategic planning, partnership development, and fundraising efforts on behalf of the Program. Working closely with the Senior Administrative Officer, the Executive Director will oversee the Program’s operations and ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness. The Executive Director will identify and recommend funds, and launch and lead implementation of high-value, multi-investigator research programs for CPH in partnership with government agencies, foundations, NGOs, and other service providers or funders.
Candidate Profile
The CPH Executive Director will be an inspiring and visionary leader with a strong commitment to research and organizational growth. The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced leader in a scientific, research-oriented or similar organization. The role requires a collaborative and strategic thought partner with the ability to cultivate, maintain and grow trusting working relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders. Successful candidates should possess excellent communication skills and be able to share the program’s story and scientific and/or complex topics in a compelling way to diverse audiences. The successful candidate should also have the ability to inspire, engage and steward relationships with a range of program sponsors.
To develop and manage the center and team, the candidate should have expert creativity and organizational management skills to build and oversee a program within a complex organization, including administrative, budgetary, human resources, financial management, event planning, communications, and knowledge management responsibilities. The Executive Director will also be a personnel manager and have the skills to mentor, coach, motivative and lead a growing team of administrative and scientific staff.
